Game Designer

I am Amorim Rodrigues Christophe, a Game Design graduate from IIM. I aim to improve myself with every project I undertake, so that I can gather enough knowledge and skills to be a valuable asset in as many projects as possible. I am curious and try to learn as much as possible, interesting myself in various cultures and sciences, which made me fluent in 4 different languages. I make games not only by passion for videogames, but also because I believe games can help people in a number of ways. I want to make games so that I can make a change while living my passion.

Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission

3 months fixed term Level Design contract

Rail Shooter

​

As a level designer, was tasked with designing levels for the PC and console versions of the game, and updating already made levels to make them fit with publisher requests. 

Also participated in tweaking and balancing on both VR and non-VR platforms. 

Fall of the Morning Star

6 months long project

Narrative - Survival

​

Worked as a Game Designer, was tasked with the creation of many Creative Briefs, worked on tweaking, balancing, Cameras and visual feedbacks.

PMU: Poulpes Mutants: Ultramarathon

Made during a week long Game Jam

Party game

​

A goofy game made for fun in which you bet on a "horse" before the race and then try to fudge the results by throwing coconuts at the other racers.

Participated in various tasks, from design to implementation.

QA Tester - Shady Part of Me

6 months Internship

Puzzle - Narrative

​

Worked as a QA Tester. Reported a variety of bugs and tested various mechanics and tweaks as they were being implemented. Started work on TRC for Sony and Microsoft consoles.

Fighting/Party-Game

​

Worked as a Game Designer, produced multiples document to help railroad the project such as Creative Briefs, Flowcharts and so on. 

One of our main objectives was to have a satisfying Gamefeel, so that has been our primary concern in working on this game.

Lucy in the Sky with Robots

Game made during a weekly Game Jam

​

A mix between a shoot 'em up and a rythm game, where the rythms of your shots will dictate which projectile you use. Every projectile has a color effective against one type of enemy, adapt on the flow the make it through the waves and defeat the boss!

Your Highness!

Mobile game initiated as a school gam and improved upon afterwards

 

Your Highness! is a versus strategy game where two players have to make choices so that their kingdom prevails in the end.

Little Maddie

Game created for a school project

​

Horror game using a custom controller we made for the occasion.

Turn the crank to light the place, and dodge the deadly dolls as you make your way out of the building.

Game created during a Gamejam

​

Another puzzle game in which you'll have to travel through time so that you can find answers and means to progress. 

Designed the puzzles for the game.

A simple runner game where you have to jump or duck to avoid obstacles in order to reach the end of the course.

Worked on Game Design and on Level Design.

I QA Tested on Shady Part of Me, which got the Pégase for Best First Game in 2020.

Student in video game curriculum - Game Design specialization

I joined IIM in September 2017, where I started to study in second year immediatly. 

I graduated in 2022 with a Master Diploma in Game Design. You can find many of the games I worked on while at IIM on this portfolio.

I joined ISART Digital in september 2017 and started to study Game Design.

I eventually left the school at the end of the year to join IIM.

Level Designer at Virtuallyz

As a Level Designer, my role was to imagine and integrate the design of the levels of Operation Wolf: First Mission, mostly on the PC and Console versions.
